January 28th, 2008 - The ORA is saddened by the news of another loss of a Rodeo Family Member.

With deepest sorrows we pass on word that George Egerton recently passed away in his sleep.

A staple at several Rodeos, he will be remembered for his love of horses, barrel racing and Rodeo. At home, he was a fixture in his community, and served for many years on his local Fire department.

January 2nd, 2008 - It is with the deepest regrets that we inform you of the passing of Former Ontario Rodeo Association President and Lifetime Member of the ORA and the RAO, Terry Dunk, last night at the Campbellford Hospital.

Terry Dunk was admired and respected by all those who knew him. Many past, current, and up-and-coming ropers have heard words of encouragement numerous times from the rodeo legend, while a majority also shared the priviledge of roping off of one of his mounts, spending time at his Lazy D Ranch, or even roping with the man himself.

Anyone that has been involved in the Sport of Rodeo here in this Province has benefited from his passion for the sport, his dedication towards its growth, and his exceedingly active role in promoting Rodeos and Ropings.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the Dunk Family, and mourn the loss of one of Rodeo's Legends.

The Family has requested donations in lieu of flowers be addressed to the London St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, Neo-Natal Unit, or Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation.

December 21st, 2007 - Sad News this morning as word was received that Mr. Bill Hill passed away on the morning of December 20th as a result of a heart attack. A very familiar face at Rodeos, Mr. Hill was constantly under an awning sharing a story before and after each performance and slack; and arena side to support his son Jeff Hill Tiedown Roping, along with every other contestant. He was also renown around the Barrel Racing world for his accomplishments and championships with his legendary American Quarter Horse Association stallion, Oily Pete. Our condolences go out to the Hill Family, and Bill will remain in our thoughts and prayers.

November 28th, 2007 - It is with great sympathy that I wish to inform you of the passing of Cooper Grant Cahill.
Donations can be made in Cooper's name to St. Joseph's Health Care, London, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
